I returned home and promptly immersed myself in learning the accordion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although I have been involved in music for most of my life, the accordion is new to me. I started playing trumpet when I was in elementary school. By the time I was in middle school, with my brother on clarinet and my father on piano we were playing gigs at local parties and the community art shows. I received a master&#8217;s degree in music composition from University of Texas in Austin, and have played jazz trumpet with the Little Big Band in Austin. In the Boston area I have played with Jazz Echo and the Nate Aronow Nextet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More recently, my EdD dissertation at Northeastern University examined the ways in which musical attributes of workplace conversation matter in organizational learning.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@randykravette5784\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Some of my current compositions and accordion covers are viewable on YouTube. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m grateful and delighted that David Rukhelman and members of the RUK Accordion Orchestra have welcomed me into the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just before the Covid pandemic I was fortunate enough to hear some excellent tango bands in Buenos Aires.
